Why Have Professional Support as an Expectant or New Mom?

Supportive services grounded in principles of occupational therapy for moms during pregnancy and beyond was born out of the need to bridge a gap in postpartum care. The most fulfilling realization was that a solution exists within my profession of occupational therapy.

There is a large gap between the expert recommended, "build a strong support network," and, "plan ahead for the postpartum days," and actually doing it in a meaningful way while minimizing the stress during the process.

I help moms and moms-to-be find their way in motherhood.  As expectant, new and even seasoned moms, we are bombarded with bountiful and usually well-meaning information, advice, and opinions.  It is up to each of us to decide to trust ourselves and determine our trail to blaze in our very personal motherhood experience. OTs are skilled to help you translate information into action in a way that works for you.

There are many OTs working in Maternal Health who would be honored to help you navigate this essential process for you or as a gift to someone you love.  Connect with me to take the next steps or browse this directory

Wishing you well,
